FRHS TAKES ON UC DAVIS AND SONOMA STATE!
On October 2nd and 3rd, our Upward Bound students had an exciting opportunity to experience UC Davis and Sonoma State University and get a taste of what college life can look like!
UC Davis — October 2
At UC Davis, students had the chance to connect with two FRHS alumni, Oisin Biehle and Jackie Alvarez! They spent lunch with Jackie, who shared her experience transitioning from FRHS to a large university. Students got to ask questions, pick her brain about college life, and hear firsthand about her journey at Davis. It was almost like a mini alumni panel—and our students had some great questions! We also toured the UC Davis campus and, of course, made a stop at the bookstore.
Sonoma State — October 3
The following day, students experienced Seawolf Day at Sonoma State! The day was packed with opportunities to explore campus, including a campus tour, housing tour, resource fair, and an academic presentation. Students also got to enjoy lunch in the dining hall and even check out an alumni lacrosse game!
From hearing directly from alumni to walking through residence halls, exploring campus resources, and experiencing college dining, our students got to see college life from multiple perspectives.
