MCARTHUR FFA AT NATIONAL CONVENTION IN INDIANAPOLIS!
McArthur FFA members Lauren Giessner, JD Bucher, Rayna Roark, and Hunter Bruning traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to attend the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo. Throughout the trip, members participated in a variety of activities, including tours of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Traders Point Creamery, a visit to the National FFA Center, and an evening of Topgolf at Back 9. Members also explored the National FFA Expo, where they connected with colleges, learned about career opportunities, and met FFA members from across the country. JD Bucher shared, “The people we met and the connections we made were truly remarkable.”
Caoimhe Biehle also attended the convention as a National Delegate, representing both McArthur FFA and California FFA. Through this role, she had the opportunity to connect with fellow delegates and participate in representing FFA members at the national level. Caoimhe Biehle shared “I had the opportunity to be on the CDE and LDE career pipeline committee in which we had discussions to make recommendations with students across the states and territories in order to help create opportunities for members. It truly was an amazing time to build connections and meet some great people while all aiming to build a better future for the FFA organization.”
A highlight of the convention was celebrating McArthur FFA’s American FFA Degree recipients. Ellie Norris, Noel Jacobson, and Hailey Hutchings received the American FFA Degree, the highest degree awarded by the National FFA Organization. This honor recognizes members for their dedication, leadership, and achievements in agricultural education and FFA. Kaydence Babcock also earned her American FFA Degree this year. McArthur FFA is proud to celebrate these members and their accomplishments on the national stage!

Students from FRHS and BHS went to the State Capitol in Sacramento to attend the opening ceremonies for the 59th Annual California Native American Day on September 25th! Represented on the Capitol steps, were the flags of 100+ federally recognized tribes. This event serves to celebrate the resilience, heritage and ongoing quest for government recognition, as well as to unite tribes, sharing ancestral stories and traditions. Students were able to visit informational booths, career and college opportunities, enjoy great food and learn about cultural traditions and histories.
Thank you to the Pit River Tribe and FRJUSD Staff members, Mrs. Blue, Mrs. Fry and Mrs. Guerrero for making this day possible!

WES WOOLERY JR, CLASS OF 2016
Congrats to Wes on winning the 2026 Northwest Auctioneer Championship, hosted by the Idaho Association of Professional Auctioneers!
After his graduation from FRHS in 2016, Wes attended the Missouri Auction School and Colorado State University. He now works livestock auctions for Producers Livestock Marketing Association, Twin Falls Livestock Commission Co., Intermountain Livestock Exchange as well as benefit auction and equipment sales.
